Alongside the Wild Seafood Market website, we also custom-crafted a separate website for the company itself. Why have two sites instead of one? The answer boils down to search results. Before we came into the picture the client already had two websites and sure, we could have combined them however in doing so we would have inadvertently wasted some of the serp juice the company had already built up.
“Serp Juice” = The factors at play behind a website’s ranking. This includes elements such as links on other sites pointing to the primary site and content on the primary site. In the case of Wild Seafood Company, their secondary site already had a strong ranking position along with links to the Market website.
Knowing the uphill battle we were facing to rank the Market website we did not want to chance to lose any available Serp Juice.
