First thing first
Write your post in a text editor such as notepad or MS word. When writing your post directly on the website you risk losing your work in the event of an internet or site glitch.
Securely log into your website’s admin panel
Login to your website via the login page. For your average WordPress website, this page is located at yourdomain.com/wp-admin. However, if your site has been built with security in mind such as how it should be, you have a unique login screen that helps prevent your website from being hacked. Contact us if you are a client of ours and are unable to locate your login screen
If you have forgotten your password, use the “Lost your password?” link.
Add new post
On the left side of the screen, hover over “Posts” and click the “Add New” option.
Add your content
Go to your text editor and copy the article content you should have already written. Add a title to your post and then paste your content in the box below.
Add the featured image
Scroll down to the bottom right side of the screen and click on “set featured image”. Swap to the “upload” tab and click the upload button. Navigate to your desired image and finally, click the “save featured image” button.
Categories and tags
Do a little SEO work by adding your post to a category and adding a few keyword tags.
On the right-hand side of the screen hit the “Publish” button
View your post
If you want to quickly navigate to your new post, click on the permalink (url / page address) located below the title of the post.
